foggy picnic

Fog can sometimes be as marvelous as disgusting. The latest work by photographer Nadav Kander captures how locals appropriate themselves of an environment for their leisure picnics underneath a highway overpass, while fishing among the fog/smog in Chonqing. The Yangtze River crosses China almost from West to East. A river, which concentrates one in every eighteen people in the planet; but also a line, which used to divide the whole country into two domains: the heating-allowed dwellings north of this border line and the unheated houses in its southern regions.
